so scared help TT

so, im 23 f and had a new partner 27 m, we did the deed just few days ago, and now i am currently experiencing “abnormal discharge“, it is thin, watery, white, almost milk consistency discharge, it doesnt have foul smell, and i dont get cramps around my pelvic or lower abdomen, thus i dont have inflamed or itchy vajayjay.. i havent consulted with a doctor, but, will do so this week or probably just when i have the money for consultation, i DID asked for a friend’s opinion, a medical lab scientist, she said that it might just be because of the roughness of the xes that might have disturbed the normal flora of my cooch, because incubation period of std typically ranges for weeks to months. pls justify this 🥲 or if u had similar exp, please share it w me and how u treated it submitted by /u/scardystrawberry [link] [comments]

Delivered at 23 weeks after recurrent bleeding — was there a missed warning sign?

It’s a bit of a long story so thanks for taking your time….🫶 I’m trying to understand something that has been very difficult for me to process, and I would really value an opinion of anyone who knows about this. I had recurrent bleeding from 10 weeks, with hematomas seen around the placenta. Around 21–22 weeks, I developed increasing cramps/contractions, sludge in the amniotic fluid, and some kind of tissue looking material coming out of the vaginal canal. My CRP began rising, and I was treated with antibiotics for a suspected urinary/vaginal infection. I was hospitalized for about six days before my daughter was born at 23 weeks because of heavy bleeding and contractions. A vaginal bacterial test was negative, and infection became less suspected. I was eventually sent home because there was felt to be little more that could be done. My daughter was born after my waters ruptured (placental abruption). The placental pathology later showed moderately severe acute chorioamnionitis with fetal inflammatory response (maternal stage 3, fetal stage 2–3), consistent with an ascending infection of some duration. It also showed a fresh and organized marginal/retroplacental hematoma. The pathologist concluded that the combination was probably responsible for the extremely preterm birth. My question is: Looking back at the rising CRP, chills/feverish episodes, contractions, bleeding and sludge in the amniotic fluid (strangely some doctor made a funny comment of these sludge), could chorioamnionitis reasonably have been suspected before my waters ruptured? Does a negative vaginal bacterial test rule out infection inside the uterus? And could further investigation or different treatment at that point potentially have changed the outcome? I’m not looking to blame anyone. I’m trying to understand whether there were warning signs that could realistically have been recognized before it was too late. submitted by /u/LoarcaLuna [link] [comments]

Is there any way to make myself permanently infertile?

Im 16 and im terrified of the possibility of getting pregnant. I dont want to have kids, it has never crossed my mind and it never will ( dont pull up w some bs like " you'll change your mind! "). Im too young to surgically remove my uterus, so im looking for other options. Im not sexually active so i think birth control would do more harm than good. Im really scared of being taken advantage of and having a cryptid pregnancy or something, so please if theres anything i can do let me know. submitted by /u/h4nn1e [link] [comments]

Got light pink discharge, but my period still hasn't started, what could it mean?

Hi, I'm currently around 7 days late for my period. Today around 6 PM , I got some very light pink discharge . I usually get similar pink spotting the night before my period starts, so I assumed my period was about to come. However, it's now been around 9 hours and there's still no proper bleeding . Has anyone experienced this? Can light pink discharge happen a day or even a few days before your period actually starts? Or can it appear and then disappear without your period coming immediately? For context, I haven't been sexually active in the past two months and have had two periods since , so pregnancy isn't a concern. submitted by /u/Anxious_Scratch2449 [link] [comments]

Vulvar itching, irritation and new dark pigmentation — any idea what could be causing this?

I’m looking for some opinions on what could be causing my symptoms. About a month ago, I developed itching around my vulva and assumed it was a yeast infection. I used Canesten cream externally for 7 days and also did the 3-day vaginal treatment. Things improved a little afterward, but the itching and general discomfort eventually came back. My discharge has been normal throughout and there has never been any unpleasant odor. Interestingly, I had no symptoms at all during my period , which ended last week. Last Sunday, I noticed that the skin around my vaginal opening had become dry, red and slightly flaky. I bought Cicatridina cream from a pharmacy, and the dryness/flaking and redness improved, but the area still looks redder than usual and feels somewhat irritated. Over the last few days the itching has actually been getting milder, but today I noticed that some parts of my vulva have become noticeably darker . The tips of my labia are darker than they used to be, and there are also some new dark patches on the vulva that I hadn’t noticed before. I did already have one mole/discolored spot there, but these new areas look different. I also occasionally get a mild, slightly stabbing sensation in the vulvar area rn. Some context: I weightlift around 5 times a week, so I’m often in tight leggings, and I live somewhere that gets quite hot during summer. I also recently started having sex with a new partner after a long time without one, around the time I finished the Canesten treatment, so naturally that has made me a bit more concerned. I have a gynecological appointment in 10 days, but I’m wondering if anyone has experienced something similar. Could this simply be irritation/post-inflammatory pigmentation from the previous inflammation, friction, etc., or could there be another explanation for the new dark patches? submitted by /u/Conscious-Glass1826 [link] [comments]

Recovery Issues, please need help!

I'm 36. Had my first pregnancy 10 months ago and it was very complicated. Baby did not make it out of the NICU. I was hospitalized for 2 months on bedrest until i gave birth, i had a placental abruption and was bleeding the whole time. During delivery they extracted placenta manually. My body is not recovering, i have so much going on on the pelvic area. I've done pt for 5-6 month, ive been to a few doctors already and no one cares. It's been hell grieving my daugther plus not being able to do daily activities this whole time. Please let me know what is normal, what is not, what helped you, any diagnosis? I have a lot of digestive issues, constipation, always hard and most times i cannot empty. I feel that my digestive process has slowed down. When i have gas i get abdominal sharp pain until it passed but it passed slowly, TMI but i cannot fart. It like it has a hard time coming out. When i have gas i get menstrual cramp and pessure. Usually i feel better when i empty my bowel. Which i have to engage my core and mover alround to makeit come out. Peeing, i have to engage core and squeeze my pelvic area to empty, stream by stream. There's no more natural peeing with that pressure. I have this pinch like in the middle of my pelvic area about an inch of the pubic bone, it feel like in my uterus that gets triggered when i do certain stuff and it takes weeks of rest for it to go away. I cannot walk at a normal speed, i cannot carry anyting, things feel whobly inside and heavy. When it's trigered i cant wash dishes, i cannot push, carry, pull, twist, bend down. It's happening more and more where i don't have any good days anymore. It's so debilitating. Groin pain, if i stretch or do my basic PT exercises i get this pain on my rigth groin, that is tender and then when it's triggered it hurts when i bring knee to chest and i have to rest for a few days. I'm struggling mentally because of my body and i want to have a child as soon as i can but i can't even walk normally. i ha

Low rising hcg 5.5 weeks pregnant ectopic?

what I thought was my period on day three took a pregnancy test had faint positive and have been getting betas every 2 days since then which was 12 DPO betas are as follows 24, 54, 67, 135, 202, 225. I felt a sharp pain that lasted a few seconds on my left side called the on-call doctor today she recommended be evaluated for possible ectopic in the emergency room abdominal ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound done showing absolutely nothing no sign of ectopic no gestational sack nothing so I will continue to get betas done every two days, but definitely a non-viable pregnancy, but would love if anybody has gone through something similar. Or if any medical professionals have an opinion of what’s going on? Thank you. submitted by /u/Icy-Specialist5215 [link] [comments]

50 days bleeding, TRIGGER WARNING! NSWF!

Hi everyone, I'm posting to get some advice and hear about similar experiences regarding my partner (18F). She has been experiencing on-and-off bleeding for 50 days now. This is completely abnormal for her because she has always had a very regular cycle and has never dealt with this before. Here is the relevant background info: • Pregnancy tests: We took home pregnancy tests at 21 days and 30 days after the last time we had sex, and all were negative. However, we know home tests aren't 100% definitive for every situation. • Tissue passed: She recently passed a fleshy, pinkish-white piece of tissue mixed with a darker clot that felt almost sack-like, which really worried us. • Medication: She is not on birth control and is not taking any medications. • Other symptoms: She currently has no other physical symptoms (no severe pain, fever, weight changes, etc.). • Lifestyle: She has been going through a period of significant stress recently. Has anyone dealt with something similar at this age? Is she pregnant? Or are there any chances of pregnancy or miscarriage given the tissue passed and the negative tests? Could extreme stress cause bleeding to last for 50 days, or what else could cause this? submitted by /u/Shiryu_14643 [link] [comments]

Needle point pain in ovary I believe?

F20 PCOS/PMOS, scoliosis, suspected EDS/hypermobility ADHD, 4'11, 42kg. Not on any medication but was on Yasmin (contraceptive) for about 2 years 21 days on 7 days off. Last year around about May I got off it and then got on it again and then off it again in September and then I decided to take it in May/June this year and I've not taken it since. I do not get periods and have only ever experienced withdrawal bleeds my whole life. I think I may have had a real period in October last year because I was 2 weeks or a month I think off the pill and I somehow bled??? Hi around about this time last year I started getting pain, like a need point sharp ish pain on my left lower abdomen kinda above where your bikini line is. I was speaking to a final year medical student at the time and he told me it could be an ovarian cyst. I ended up getting an ultrasound and nothing came up and he said it's because it's probably so small that it doesn't get picked up on the ultrasound. Well fast forward around 4am this morning I was getting the pain on the RIGHT (I was already awake I didn't get woken up due to the pain) and I'm just shocked because now I'm scared that it might be on both ovaries now and the NHS (not all the doctors, I recognise it's the layout of the NHS in general and the structure too which makes it even harder for you to actually work effectively) is incompetent (I know you all work so hard I'm sorry but you know it's true and especially when it comes to PMOS and women's health🥲) so I'm worried I'll find out before it's too late. I got the ultrasound done in my home country (Cyprus) because the NHS is so slow😭! But it's not really feasible for me to just go back and forth to Cyprus to get my health checked as I do live in England and have done so much whole life really. Please can someone maybe recommend what I can say or do to be taken seriously please or just what you that it could be☹️ I'm more scared now because it's in both so I'm just worried that maybe they'

LEEP positive outer margin

Focally positive ectocervical margin after LEEP but then had a normal follow-up I had a LEEP in Nov 2025. My endocervical (inner) margin was negative, but the ectocervical (outer) margin was focally positive, meaning abnormal cells were found at the cut edge, but only in a small/localized area rather than extensively along the margin. My doctor said she removed additional tissue beyond the specimen, so it was possible she still got everything. At my 6-month follow-up in May, my Pap was normal and HPV was negative 🙏 Has anyone had a similar experience? What happened at your next follow-up? Seeking for advice

Hello, I’m asking for some advice. My girlfriend and I had sex on August 24. It wasn’t unprotected sex because I used a condom, but we’re not sure whether the condom leaked or not. My girlfriend took Lady pills using the Yuzpe method about 4 hours after we had sex, and then she took the second dose 12 hours later. We followed the instructions for taking the pills properly. My concern is that her periods are irregular, and her last period started on August 11. I don’t know whether she had already ovulated when we had sex because I read that emergency contraceptive pills may not be effective if ovulation has already occurred. I’m worried and would really appreciate some advice about the risk of pregnancy in our situation. Thank you. submitted by /u/Same_Ordinary_7949 [link] [comments]

2+ weeks of bleeding + clots anyone else?

My last period was July 21, and there’s no chance of pregnancy. Around Aug 12–14, I started having very light slimy brown/red discharge, around when I expected to ovulate. Since then it’s gradually become more bleeding and less discharge, but it’s still very light — one pad can last the whole day and it never becomes a normal period. I’m also getting small clots, ranging from tiny pieces to about dime/nickel-sized, sometimes dark brown/black and sometimes red. They can come out at different times of day, sometimes when I pee/bear down, and sometimes I get a small gush when I get out of bed. It’s been 2+ weeks now. Has anyone had something similar? Did it eventually turn into a normal period or stop on its own? submitted by /u/PopularGuard3211 [link] [comments]

NSFW- Yellowish lump inside

I’ve had this lump inside of my vagina for 5 months now, it doesn’t drain or pop and it doesn’t grow or change. I went to my doctor and they told me it seemed small and nothing to worry about but she also said it was too deep to be a bartholin’s cyst and that she didn’t know so she recommended me to an obgyn but they had emergency delivery so they couldn’t see me. I am now pregnant (3 months) and my midwife office keeps saying they will check on it but they haven’t. I’m so lost on what this could be and when I look it up I see nothing like it. Can anyone help? submitted by /u/Tall-Career-4261 [link] [comments]

endometriosis

hi guys, i recently went to my gyno and told her all my symptoms and she basically told me that i should get on birth control or think about doing the laparoscopy because she’s very certain i have endo. To me, it was never even a thought that i might have it because i thought all my symptoms were so normal. These are my symptoms: -I have to take 8 Advil tablets for my cramps everyday of my period for at least the first three days just to be able to get out of bed, and sometimes it’s still not enough for my pain. -My period will sometimes come the week after the one before but otherwise it’s pretty regular but I still have a short cycle (23 days). -The past few cycles I had to start using super plus tampons which I usually bleed through in two hours when my flow is the heaviest. -When I have sex during the few days before my period is hurts so bad it literally makes me want to vomit so I’ve stopped doing it then, and I never have it on my period because of that and also the fact that I’m very prone to UTIs. -It also hurts really bad when I put a tampon in on the first few days of my period. -My period literally just exhausts me and I have so much brain fog during it it’s really hard for me to focus. -I get sharp pains around ovulation mainly in my right side that aren’t nearly as bad as my period cramps but they’re enough to distract me from work. Sometimes I have to take a minute to lay down from them. -Heating pads help my pain a lot but sometimes don’t work if my cramps are really bad. -i am always nauseous in the days leading up to my period and always spotting for at least 2 or 3 days before it, and I’m always nauseous while on my period too. -i have a history of ovarian cysts, both hemmoraghic and clear but never had a chocolate cyst My mom always just tells me its from stress so idk what to do. I really don’t want the surgery and I am not doing birth control because both the times I’ve been on it my periods only have gotten worse. I’m not even sure if I have e

Missing period for 3-4 weeks, 2 negative home tests, nervous about next steps

So I haven't had my period in about 3-4 weeks now. I took 2 urine pregnancy tests at home (different brands just to be safe lol) and both came back negative. I've also gained some weight recently, and my periods have always been kind of irregular anyway, so I'm pretty sure that's what's going on here. But obviously the missed period has me a bit in my head about it, and I'm not gonna lie that I'm nervous about going to the gynecologist as it will be my first appointment. For anyone who's dealt with this: should I just bite the bullet and schedule a gyno appointment? Or would it be smarter to get a blood test done first to rule out pregnancy, and then see the gynecologist? Any advice appreciated! Thanks in advance. submitted by /u/vyseoak [link] [comments]

Early pregnancy

Positive test For context, we did IVF for our first so I’m very in tune with my body. I know when I’m ovulating etc. though still test to confirm. Since being pp I haven’t been taking my temp because I’m up lots at night with my 15m old so it’s not accurate. I got my period from August 17-21 it was about 2 days of red the rest was brown and it continued for a few days after. I’m supposed to be ovulation within the next week or so (ovulation was been a bit later due to still breastfeeding). Last time my husband and I had sex was August 12 or 13? I wasn’t tracking because it was past my ovulation window. I started getting some light brown discharge again today and took this test. Should I get an early ultrasound to make sure everything is ok? Should I be concerned about the bleeding and now spotting? Thanks submitted by /u/A_Z27 [link] [comments]

Endometriosis cure

Hey ladies, do you think we’ll ever get healed from this disease ? Do you think they’ll ever do more research and come up with treatments that will permanently cure us instead of surgeries every time ? Do you think we’ll ever be okay without any pain ? Do you think we’ll ever live happily and live a normal life without some form of fear ? Are we loud enough about this disease ? They’ve recently come up with an Ebola vaccine which is was even much more complex than this disease :( Why can’t they do something about our disease ? It affects so many women yet they don’t even care or actually doing any research :( We just want to feel better and healed , we didn’t choose this disease some of us wanted kids . I wanted to live like a normal teenage girl . I hope someday some people will do something about this demon 😔 submitted by /u/Secret_Marzipan_4300 [link] [comments]

Hello, I’m currently 6 weeks pregnant and got this ultrasound 2 weeks ago before even knowing I was pregnant. It scares me knowing that I can have complications throughout my pregnancy and that something can happen to me since I have a 1.5 year old. Recurring PH issues ??

30F and I’ve been dealing with vulvar/vaginal symptoms for YEARS and I’m desperate for ideas. I don’t have health insurance right now, so I can’t keep going back to my doctor for the same labs just to be told everything is normal. My symptoms include discomfort/pain with sex, pain with tampon insertion, milky/watery or thick/clumpy white sticky discharge, cumin/musky or tangy/yogurt-like odor, itching, burning when sitting, intense itching/burning during my period, and irregular periods. I’ve had many of these issues since my early 20s. I have a history of frequent yeast infections and was diagnosed with lichen simplex chronicus (LSC) , which has been treated. I’ve had multiple rounds of fluconazole, nystatin/triamcinolone, and clobetasol. I’ve also tried probiotics, drinking more water, cotton underwear/change halfway through the day, unscented detergent, water/unscented Dove, loose clothing, diet changes, coconut oil, Medicine Mama vulva balm, etc. I shower morning and night because I naturally have stronger body odor; I’m not douching or putting soap inside my vagina. I’ve been tested for STIs, UTIs, BV and yeast , and those have been ruled out. My doctor keeps telling me it’s stress from the LSC and that my body needs time to get back to normal, but I’ve had these symptoms for years, including before my LSC diagnosis. I’ve also always been told I’m “too young” for hormones to be the issue, but now I’m wondering if hormones could be involved, especially with the irregular periods and cycle-related symptoms. I’m wondering about vulvodynia/vestibulodynia, pelvic floor dysfunction, hormonal changes, vulvar skin conditions, contact irritation, or something else that hasn’t been considered. I’m NOT asking Reddit to diagnose me. I’m asking for experiences and ideas of what I can safely try/research, especially since I’m uninsured. If you’ve dealt with something similar, what finally helped you? What would you try first if you were in my situation? Any affordable option

Red Spotting + 21 days late: Ranting.

22F, 47.5kg, 5’3ft Hi everyone, I have some updates, or at least I hope they’re good updates. My situation is as follows: I’m about 21 days late. I’m currently on day 51 of my cycle. My cycles are usually 30 to 35 days. Today, I noticed some red blood on the toilet paper, but I’m not having any actual flow or anything similar. Could this be the beginning of my period? I’m not experiencing the usual symptoms I get with my period either, just more sensitive breasts, bloating, and fatigue. These are normal symptoms associated with progesterone. On the 14th of this month, I had a medical appointment, and my gynecologist said she thought it would be better for me to start taking the pill. We also did an ultrasound, and everything looked normal. There were no signs of any disease, except that my left ovary is multifollicular. The last time I had any intimate contact involving penetration was 7 months ago. We used a condom, but he ejaculated inside it. We didn’t check the condom afterward, but I saw all the semen collected inside the tip. After that encounter, I tested multiple times. I had 21 blood tests and 7 transvaginal ultrasounds, for a total of 28 tests. I tested every month after that encounter. It has now been 31 weeks since it happened. Months went by, and in June, 5 months later, after I went out to a nightclub, a man took advantage of me while I was drunk. We didn’t have sex, but he forced himself against me and there was some forced rubbing, although I was wearing underwear. I was scared, so I tested as well. I tested 4, 6, and 8 weeks after the incident. It has now been 8 weeks since that happened. After that, in August, I had some touching and kissing, but nothing risky. Just some heated making out and rubbing over our clothes, I would say. There was no exchange of bodily fluids. It’s been about 21 days since then. Anyway, I talked to my doctor about this again because being 21 days late is a long time. I’m going through a very stressful period in my life, i

Can you explain how the mirena IUD helps to stop my severe menstrual pain and endometriosis pain like I’m 5?

Before I got the IUD I had debilitating hip pain that would radiate down my leg (I suspect due to utersacral endo involvbement)and had extremely painful bowel movements. Both of these symptoms would last for about 2 weeks every month. I also had heavy and painful periods, mostly lower back pain. I understand that the mirena IUD stops my period so I stop getting menstrual pain. But how does it stop the other symptoms I have? My only understanding is “hormones”. But what exactly is happening to stop the bowel and hip pain? submitted by /u/comfy_sweatpants5 [link] [comments]

I want to help with sleep surrounding pregnancy!

Hi all, I'm an Industrial Design Student at QUT looking into the difficulties mother's face with sleep during pregnancy and after birth. I want to be able to create a practical solution that can help make this difficult stage easier on mothers and families. If you would like to be apart of this research I have a 5-15 minute survey that is anonymous and for mothers that have given birth in the last four years (unfortunately you can't complete it if you're currently pregnant). I would greatly appreciate any input, as all data will help me towards a more informed solution. The link for the survey is at the end of this information document. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1p6f_Y14LhKYa00dLVUM0-1lRjMBjG7y0G6_mwTXazUg/edit?usp=sharing submitted by /u/Calm-Highlight661 [link] [comments]

HPV concerns and questions

I'm 35 now, a few years ago I had a my first pap smear, it came back positive for a few high risk HPV strains. I had a colposcopy and thankfully it wasn't cancerous, I was told to get another pap smear in a year or two. Fast forward to today I've since cleared HPV for now (last pap smear was normal). Today I was searching online on how HPV can be transmitted, and came across a health line article. Where it mentions : Hand-genital contact: It involves touching your genitals with hands that touch an area of infection. Vertical transmission: In this case, HPV can spread from birthing person to baby during delivery, although it’s less common. Contact with surfaces or objects: It’s not as usual, but the virus can spread by touching surfaces or objects that have the virus on them. Self-infection: The virus can also spread from one part of your body to another by touching a wart or area of infection and another body I do not know when I picked up HPV, but I did have hand-genital contact with people i dated years prior in college. Thinking about all this is making me paranoid that I should tell everyone I've had hand-gentail contact with? Is this excessive of me to worry about, or should I tell them they may be at risk from HPV? submitted by /u/Creative_Shine_4248 [link] [comments]

Looking for an reasonable explanation

I‘m starting to feel crazy and was hoping someone could explain what might be going on because I am too embarrassed to try to explain this to a doctor face to face because I think I might just be losing my mind! I’m 8months postpartum and breastfeeding I got my period back around 7 weeks pp but my last period was 93 days ago and it was light and only lasted 2 days. I took a pregnancy test after my initial missed period and a second one a few weeks later they were both negative so I just shrugged it off as a side effect of breast feeding fast forward to about a week ago and I swear I feel movement on my lower abdomen so I take another different brand pregnancy test and it’s still negative so i figured it was gas or something the movement hasn’t gone away but I figured I’ve been watching too many of mama dr Jones’s I didn’t know I was pregnant videos and it was all in my head which like totally possible we do want to try for a second this fall I definitely have babies on the mind but last night I was pushing on my lower abdomen just out of curiosity and I felt something hard react to my pushing it felt very similar to when I was pregnant with my son and I’m just wondering what that might be if I’m definitely 3 negative tests not pregnant I did the same thing again tonight and had the same reaction and the object disappears after the sudden reaction but I still feel like something is moving is it literally just gas and baby fever? submitted by /u/MortgageInevitable83 [link] [comments]

Looking for medical insight: declining hCG, conflicting ultrasound information, and paternity concerns

I’m looking for objective medical insight because the timeline and information I’ve been given regarding a claimed pregnancy do not seem to make sense to me. A 26F friend and I had one sexual encounter on June 14, 2026 . We have never been in a relationship. She is now claiming I am the father. When I originally asked about this on August 12, the information I had was: July 20: β-hCG = 156 mIU/mL August 10: β-hCG = 95 mIU/mL The hCG had therefore declined rather than increased over 21 days. There had been no ultrasound or OB appointment that I was aware of confirming the pregnancy, location, viability, or gestational age. Based on June 14 being the only encounter, the pregnancy would have been approximately 10+ weeks gestational age around August 12 if conception resulted from that encounter. I independently scheduled and paid for a NIPP test because I wanted objective confirmation of paternity. Since my original post, several things have happened that have made me even more confused. An OB appointment was scheduled for August 18 . My understanding was that a live ultrasound and another hCG test would be done at that appointment. However, I later learned that she apparently had an ultrasound somewhere else on August 13 and did not tell me about it. At the August 18 appointment, I was told the OB/GYN was apparently relying on the printout from that August 13 ultrasound , rather than performing the ultrasound I thought had been scheduled. The only conclusion I was given from the appointment was essentially that there was still a “50/50 chance” and that the due date was now being given as March 7, 2027 . That due date is confusing to me because it seems very precise given the circumstances and the fact that June 14 was the only sexual encounter between us. It also makes me wonder what information was provided to the OB/GYN when the pregnancy was initially dated. Another concern is that she works at the same OB/GYN office where she scheduled the appointment. I don’t kno

Chronic pelvic pain

I am writing this out of desperation. Timeline: July of 2023 I had a new sexual partner that gave me HSV2. At that time, all other STI testing was negative. Within the next few months I started noticing some lower abdominal cramping episodes like I had to have a BM and having a BM would cause rectal pain. January 2024: I went to my PCP who referred me to a surgeon for an anal fissure and possible IBD. Took numerous treatments for said fissure that never fully relieved my rectal discomfort. Being discouraged and some health anxiety I would put off symptoms for months at a time/ not follow through. July 2025 i decided that i was going to find answers to this. Had a pelvic CT ordered by my PCP- normal. Referred to gastro/colorectal and told to make appt with my gynecologist. Had to find a new gynecologist which took until December 2025. In December 2025, I saw colorectal/ gastro and had a negative EGD and colonoscopy with biopsies. Also saw my gynecologist, who did an exam, STI, BV/Yeast, and a PAP. All normal. In this time, I had multiple ED visits, CT scans, pelvic US- all “normal”. Requested to be treated for PID and was only given a week worth instead of 2 weeks of antibiotics, did have a rocephin shot also. April 2026- Had multiple visits since I started actively pursuing this. I requested to be treated again for PID based on my continued symptoms. Given 2 weeks of doxy and flagyl but no recephin. Seemed like symptoms improved but didn’t go away and returned after finishing antibiotics. June 2026- Pelvic MRI findings: Small amount of pelvic free fluid, pelvic varicies, and a small 3cm ovarian cyst. Fast forward to a week ago August 2026- Had an exploratory LAP for what my Dr. thought was endo. No endo found during the LAP but she did find some adhesions around my colon/small bowel to the right abdominal wall. Said uterus, ovaries and fallopian tubes all looked “normal”. I have daily pelvic pain, back pain, rectal pain after BM, just overall feel “sick”, achy legs.

Could this still be herpes?

I had sex about 2+ weeks ago, and about a few days afterward I started experiencing what felt like flu-like symptoms/body aches, genital itching and burning, and what felt like swollen lymph nodes in my groin. These symptoms lasted for about a week. I was worried that these might have been prodromal symptoms of genital herpes. However, I have never developed any obvious blisters, sores, or ulcers. It has now been over two weeks since the encounter. I also went to a gynecologist, and they examined the area directly and told me that there was no herpes-like lesion and that the small area I was worried about was not a lesion. I did have some vaginal inflammation/vaginitis around this time, so I’m wondering if that could explain the itching and burning. Has anyone experienced flu-like symptoms, itching, and swollen-feeling lymph nodes after sex without ever developing any lesions? Could herpes cause symptoms like this without visible blisters or sores, or would this be more likely to have another explanation? submitted by /u/Ok_Astronaut_9050 [link] [comments]

I Want to Redesign Hormone Treatments and Assistance!

Hello! I'm an industrial designer looking into how hormone therapies and the experience of taking HRT can be improved. I'm passionate about women's health, especially those experiencing perimenopause symptoms, improving access to MHT treatments and improving the overall experience of taking gels, creams and patches. So far, I've found a real lack of systemic care around using these Hormone Therapies, especially in Australia, where we are behind with menopause education, supply variety and patient assistance. I'm still a student now, but I have learned and observed so much from my mum. I hope some of these issues within women's health and support have improved by the time I'm going through menopause. If you're also perimenopausal to postmenopausal, are between the ages of 40 and 65 and are taking any form of Transdermal MHT (Menopause Hormone Therapy), you can help me by taking my 10-minute survey on HRT experiences. If you have something to say about MHT, I'd really appreciate your help. I'd love to learn from you! Survey Link: https://qsurvey.qut.edu.au/jfe/form/SV_02ioobjYfps1i8m This is an academic research project for Queensland University of Technology. Ethics Approval Number: 11424. Participation is voluntary and anonymous. The survey takes approximately 10–15 minutes. You can skip any question and stop at any time. Responses are used for a university design research capstone project (DNB311) and reported only in de-identified, aggregate form. Cervical Check- Resident

Hello! I am 39w 3d pregnant and on Monday I saw a 2nd year resident who did a “cervical check and membrane sweep” I do not think he actually did this… Thursday I had a membrane sweep and check from another physician (not resident) and then Sunday early morning 2 checks in L&D because my contractions were close together but ultimately stopped when coming in (of course) That being said, I have experienced several cervical checks and 2 just the day before the exam Monday and genuinely did not feel like this resident did a proper check and sweep. It just felt like he swirled his finger after getting knuckles deep and said “Yeah I think you’re the same 3cm dilated 50% effaced. (this was charted) I’m a little disappointed but also wondering if I should message the physician and let them know that the resident might not know what they’re doing? I’m extremely uncomfortable even thinking/ saying this out loud but… what would you do? Guidance? Such a weird bizarre thing. submitted by /u/crabbiestflower [link] [comments]

battling reoccurring infections for months still no diagnosis or clear answers of when i should be clear

For starters i am a 19Fand only had 2 sexual partners my whole life and prior to December 2025 i had no major pain or complications aside from a couple of utis which ive had treated with antibiotics. I think its important i mention from october 2025 to april 2026 i was put on 50-100mg of spironolactone by a doctor. As for the rest of my medical history in December 2025 i had a copper iud placed which i promptly had removed due to a severe bout of pain in my abdomen which left me with a (suspected) fever. My symptoms went away shortly after its removal, and aside from 1-2 utis after there was no pain. The real issue came in April, i landed in the er due to extreme debilitating pain to which the staff found a 5cm cyst on my right ovary and sent me home after with some pain meds for what they believed to be intermittent torsion . I visited once or twice in the coming weeks after but nothing was done for me not even pain medication was given to me aside from Tylenol. The next big moment was in june 5 when i felt the same sensations as before and even worse, and it remained that way until june 9 when i was finally admitted into the hospital for an infection on my right ovarian cyst (shocker who could’ve guessed), i was given antibiotics through iv for a couple of days and sent home with a weeks dose as well ( i wish i could remember the names), i did end up throwing up a couple of times after despite warning them i could not hold it down. Im not sure if thats what contributed to the infection coming back. Meanwhile we searched for a surgeon to perform laparoscopic surgery. Finally this brings us to august 11, the day of my surgery. What my surgeon has told me is that i had complete scaring on my right fallopian tube, and it and to be removed alongside the 5cm cyst on the right ovary. She mentioned there was no signs of endometriosis, but there was a residual infection on my ovary or in the surrounding area (she explained all this to me nearly 2 hours post op so i was daz

Uterine Septum

Would this particular image from an HSG tip you off to a uterine septum or have you consider additional imaging for one? For context I had an HSG done and was never given more imaging or told I may have one. I know HSG is not the best way to diagnose, but would this shape cause you to consider additional exploration of a possible septum? Turned out to be a pretty massive septum affecting pregnancy and delivering a very very small IUGR baby. submitted by /u/fionaismygirl [link] [comments]

Doctor says I have pcod

I went to a gynaecologist today and I originally went to get an infection checked out. However, I mentioned that I have a late cycle, and she said that I might have pcod. To be clear, I've had a late cycle since my periods started. My periods have always been a bit late, although I've never missed one. Plus, she pointed out my eyebrows and chin hair. Firstly I barely have any chin hair. She asked her assistant to see and even her assistant said it was very light. And I naturally have more hair due to my father. I've always had more hair on my body, on my moustache as well, even before my periods started. And she said that I'm also overweight which may be bc of pcod. I'm 5’6 and 72. I might be a bit overweight, but I have been this weight for a while now. She said that I should lose weight as it will enhance my body (ew) Now is this classic medical misogyny or do I actually have pcod. Should I get it checked it. I did have an ultrasound in 2025 and nothing came of it. submitted by /u/Level-Divide4912 [link] [comments]

Prolonged & Intermittent Bleeding Help

Female in 20s, previously diagnosed with PCOD 7 years ago. No follow ups done after that due to financial constraints. I’m on Day 6 of my period, which has not tapered as expected and seems slightly heavier today. I use about one pad per day without rapid saturation, but frequently pass dark-red, warm, jelly-like/stringy clots when using the toilet, sometimes around half my pinkie in size- sometimes big, sometimes really small. I recently recovered from Influenza A, during which my platelets fell from 1.21 lakh to 1.07 lakh and later rose to 1.19 lakh/µL, with no repeat CBC currently scheduled. I am confused and scared. I don't know whether this bleeding pattern could be hormonal/abnormal uterine bleeding or related to my platelet count. submitted by /u/mildlymythological [link] [comments]

GHSV1 + discharge help

24F - diagnosed in May 2025. Ive had 3 outbreaks since then and any tingle or itch I immediately panic. Since my diagnosis my discharge has also changed. Its not longer white its usually like an off white/yellow but my GP is unable to find anything else wrong with me besides a cervical ectropian (which was found after I complained of bleeding during and after sex) My periods have also changed from 7 days to about 14 days now with alot of spotting in between. Smear test has also come back completely normal as well as a vaginal ultrasound. I have the mirena coil. What else could I be researching for this? Im really struggling. Ive had the mirena coil since January 2024. No problems since my first outbreak. Sex has also become very painful on entry. GP told me it was just because I had a small “canal”? I have lost 30kg so may be why? submitted by /u/Realistic_Pride2680 [link] [comments]

New right abdominal/oblique cramps starting 1 week after laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy. Has anyone experienced this?

Hi everyone. I’m looking for experiences from people who have had a laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy , especially where the ovary was preserved. I had an ~8 cm dermoid cyst on my right ovary and underwent laparoscopic cystectomy 10 days ago. The cyst was removed and my right ovary was preserved . One of the laparoscopic port sites on the right side was closed with a deeper/fascial stitch because my surgeon wanted to prevent a port-site hernia. My recovery initially seemed okay. The first couple of days were quite painful, but the general postoperative pain gradually improved. The strange thing is that I didn’t have this cramping immediately after surgery . Around post-op day 6–7 , I suddenly started getting a very specific cramping/pulling sensation on the right side . It’s mainly around: right lower abdomen right mid abdomen right oblique/side of my waist Initially it happened mainly when getting into or out of bed , especially when rolling from my left side onto my back. I’m already using the log-roll technique and I’m not doing any sudden twisting or sit-ups. The cramp can last around 2–3 minutes and then settles. I’ve also started getting a downward pulling/stretching sensation in the lower-right abdomen. Interestingly, when I gently support the lower-right abdomen with my hand, the pulling sensation reduces somewhat. I’m now post-op day 11 . My overall postoperative pain is much better than it was during the first few days, but this new cramping is really painful. My surgeon prescribed Combiflam to take when I have increased pain . When I take it, the cramping basically disappears, but once the effect wears off, it comes back. I’ve also occasionally felt a burning/tender sensation around the right incision , especially with a deep breath or a sudden sleep jerk. Otherwise, I don’t have any other concerning symptoms. My questions: Has anyone who had a laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy with the ovary preserved experienced something similar? Especially: Did you have a

help! living in China, advocating for myself with doctors is very hard

My discharge has been like this since probably 1.5 year (photos from different times of the month). Looks like vaginal walls sloughing/shedding? Sticks to the walls. No matter if the symptoms are there, it stays the same. During ovulation it just mixes with normal ovulation discharge. I’ve always been sensitive, confirmed tense pelvic floor, so occasional itching wasn’t something that alarmed me. Now I’m done; itch comes and goes, candida test when I went to the hospital was negative as well as BV. Got prescribed Nystatin, I guess it got better for a bit? But then it always comes back. Irritation on the inside side of inner labia, a bit of itching, painful sex (not extremely painful). I thought it’s CV at some point- did one baking soda suppository and it made it more inflamed. Then used boric acid for around 6 days? It made things good for more than two months, the discharge cleared always after usage for a few days. Now the irritation and itching is back. Put boric acid in one or two times and it didn’t even clear the discharge anymore. I did this vaginal microbiome test, photo is in the post. The pH looks like around 4.6-4.8, but I have no other symptoms of BV. I know my discharge looks like normal cervical mucus, but I don’t think it should look like this all the time? I bought clotrimazole and idk if I should use it? Should I go through a longer round of boric acid? What can it be?😭 I didn’t test for ureaplasma/mycoplasma but I only had one sex partner in my life prior to this discharge starting, only a one time thing, protected. Maybe I should drink more water or smth? submitted by /u/rossoprofondo [link] [comments]

yellow discharge 2 days after unprotected sex.

i genuinely have no idea what’s going on. theres no other symptoms at all. me and my fiance are both clean of any stds, ive never once in my life had yellow discharge. 2 days before we had sex i was at my gyno to get my endo thickness checked out and she told me my period will come in a week or so and everything else looked normal. well im on cd30 no sign of period or anything just this very small amount of yellow discharge on panty liners. its like as if i peed and didnt wipe it at all. theres no itching burning or anything. i’m worried about this being serious or not, i’m kind of busy with work schedules so i’m in no position to get an appointment at my gyno again today or this week. we are planning on a pregnancy soon so i dont want this to affect my body in any way. will this just go away on it’s own? or is this semen remnant leaving my body lol. What do I do?

Hi I am 19F I weight 98.3 pounds and I had sex with my boyfriend not disclosing his age or I will be judged I had given him a BJ and He had cummed into my mouth and around an hour later, he and I had unprotected sex which was our first time together. He was worried since he had cummed into my mouth and that was the only time he cummed cause he said he would’ve told me if he did anymore and then put his dick inside me an hour later if there was a risk of pregnancy risk. I was on Day 7 of cycle, I started August 17th 2026. I plan on getting the implant on September 18th 2026 since we both don’t want me to get pregnant cause it’s not in our cards right now. I took the Plan B pill at 2:53 pm today, we had sex around 2-4 o’clock yesterday, He and I both have consent to this relationship and our age gap so please no judgment there. He and I both our mature. All he is just worried All answer and advice is much appreciated submitted by /u/Just-Assignment7701 [link] [comments]

Recurring ovarian cyst

I want to get other opinions whether I should advocate harder for myself with my GP. For context I (30, F, 5’3”, 180lbs) had a 10+cm cyst on my right ovary that was surgically removed in fall 2024. I have no interest in having children so the surgeon removed my fallopian tubes during that surgery as well. I am now no longer on BC (previously Kyleena IUD) so I can track my cycles better. Pretty sure I missed symptoms of my first cyst because I have a high pain tolerance and couldn’t attribute any discomfort / pain with any part of my cycle so just shrugged it off until I couldn’t ignore it anymore. Anyways, recently (~4 months ago) I started to get the same pains on my right side. Leading up to my period, the pain was worse than the first cyst. I saw my GP, explained my history and symptoms. I then got an ultrasound showing I have another cyst 6-7cm cyst on my right ovary (suspected endometrioma). My GP said to just wait and re-ultrasound in 6 months. I asked about getting on the pill to surpress my cycle and reduce symptoms, but she said she didn’t want to impact my fertility (?). When I mentioned my previous sterilization surgery she shrugged it off and said we’d worry about that later (???). All she told me was to take OTC pain medicine as needed, go to the ER if there’s constant high-level pain, and lose weight. Mind you, I hardly ever take pain pills and have already been needing them for this cyst. For reference I have broken my radius + ulna clean in half, requiring metal to put them back together and only needed pain management immediately after surgery. I can’t go to a gyno without a referral and my GP won’t give me one until the repeat ultrasound. Even then that’s dependent on the results. My question is - given my history, pain levels, and how quickly this cyst grew, and I being given the right treatment plan? submitted by /u/Curious_Sherbert3667 [link] [comments]

Gyno examined my breasts without gloves is this normal ?

Hi, yawl . Today I went to a new gyno as I moved cities earlier this year. He was very nice and asked me a lot before even examining me to get to know my history. Also appreciated the appointment was very quick considering I had to go to work after. Although for the breast exam he took his gloves off and felt my breasts with his bare hands …. Idk if this is normal but there was another nurse present it wasn’t like we were alone but I also noticed he didn’t wear a mask when giving me a pelvic exam, although thankfully , wore gloves. Am I cooked? (Missed pill for the first time)

Hi I’m 24f and I’ve been on Hailey FE 1.5-30 for 6 years now and I’ve never missed any pills. I took my pill Thursday at around 6:30am and then Friday (thought I took it the same time ) I ended up having sex for the first time in 6 months. We used condoms but I know pre cum probably got in me. I go to take my Saturday pill at like 11am that next morning and that’s when I realize I didn’t take Fridays!!!! That’s never happened before I always take it like clockwork with my other pills. I called my pharmacist (it was Saturday so gyn wasn’t in) and they said I should be fine as long as I doubled up on my pills to catch up so I did but I did end up getting a plan b around 10pm last night out of panic and took it. So I was about 54 hours late taking the pill so technically I missed 2 and that’s when your protection drops. Could I have ovulated in this time and the plan b won’t work or am I cooked?? I know pregnancy from pre cum isn’t likely but still. I’ll still take a test in 2-3 weeks to make sure but I just wanna know how likely it would be that I ovulated. submitted by /u/Grandmasplasticcouch [link] [comments]

Situation A: It’s been 30 weeks since I had penetrative sex. The condom didn’t break, and he ejaculated inside the condom. I’ve had 16 negative blood tests and 7 negative ultrasounds as well. Situation B: It’s been 8 weeks. I tested 4 and 6 weeks after what happened, and both tests were negative. We only rubbed against each other while fully clothed. I was wearing underwear and he was wearing shorts. We didn’t have unprotected sex, and there was no ejaculation either. I’m scared about pre-cum. Situation C: We didn’t have sex. We were just dating. I sat on his lap, and we rubbed against each other while fully clothed, but that was it. There was no exchange of bodily fluids. Could this be a hormonal issue? Something like a cryptic pregnancy? I feel bloated, I have cramps that come and go, breast tenderness, and I’m extremely tired. submitted by /u/Mysterious-Box-7487 [link] [comments]

Leaking pee after intercourse.

Hi. I’m 23 f and a lot of times after me and my bf have been intimate, for the next couple days I will uncontrollably dribble a bit of urine randomly. And then it goes back to normal. We aren’t usually super rough. I usually do pelvic floor exercises quite often I wouldn’t have thought I still have a weak pelvic floor. Is that what this is from? My concern is we are medium distance right now so this happening very often isn’t a problem now. But when I move in with him I worry it could be a frequent problem. submitted by /u/Physical_Classic_837 [link] [comments]

NSFW- could this be very early miscarriage?

Hi, I'm 32 & have never been pregnant or miscarried before so I'm in a bit of state of shock that this could potentially be an early miscarriage based off other images I've seen online. My period was late for 9 days (breasts were a lot more sore than usual during this time, each day it kept feeling like 'today's going to be the day it finally starts', very exhausted). On the 9th day, spotted brown, then hours later it seemed like my period was starting but it was right before bed, cramping bad, so I took melatonin to try to fall asleep. Woke up shaking cold a few times which I thought was weird bc if anything I get hot flashes at night during my period. As soon as I woke up, went to the bathroom, two larger than quarter size red blood clots came out, then I looked at my pad and saw THIS (see pics). https://preview.redd.it/eln35hm0w0lh1.jpg?width=2048&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=cadc3cd3a982c45b028993f8885cca358f340ddf Grey-ish, purple-ish, squishy gooey looking, have NEVER passed anything like this before. Looks like tissue? Since my period was 9 days late, and I unfortunately did not take a pregnancy test at any point, I'm not sure if this could potentially be placenta/sac etc tissue/material. My breasts also don't feel sore at all anymore. What was also strange was that the three days leading up to this, I had such random 'health anxiety'. And my bf even randomly thought to himself I could be pregnant two days before this. This could just be coincidences. My last 'normal' period was July 13th. I don't currently have health insurance. For the rest of the day since this happened, I've just felt shaken up and depleted, it seems like I'm bleeding somewhat like a regular period I haven't had any major clots or clumps since this this morning? Just painful cramps all along the lower center of my belly. So does this still warrant going to urgent care (would I be taken seriously) or would I have to go to the ER or something? Or rest up at home and monitor for certain symptoms?

Am I pregnant

me and my boyfriend did genitalia rubbing July 14, I was sitting on his lap , I had my skirt and panties pulled to the side so my vagina was out and he had his penis out , I was rubbing against his shaft, 2 times but it was 3 mins or under, there was no sperm, he claims there was no pre cum, but I am not sure since eject penis produce pre cum, he ejaculated 3-4 hours before he saw me but he peed once or twice and showered twice, I got my menstrual the 16 of July, 2 days after. the first day of my menstrual was more spotting, and then the second day was way heavier filling a pad, my period lasted 6 days with the 5th and 6th day being spotting ending July 21st I got my menstrual again August 13th in the morning , I was bleeding dark red on the pad and had sore breasts that stopped when I got my menstrual BUT I have very vivid dreams almost every night I’ve taken 5-6 pregnancy test all being negative but I can’t shake this feeling, I keep scrolling on TikTok all these videos, and I have more of a rapid heart beat , and can feel it in my uterus now I’m stressing tf out I just want this overthinking to stop submitted by /u/Leading-Bee-9049 [link] [comments]

Could this be aerobic vaginitis?

Since February of this year, vaginal swabs have repeatedly shown different aerobic bacteria. I’ve tested positive for almost every type at some point: Enterococcus faecalis, Escherichia coli, Group B Streptococcus, Klebsiella pneumoniae, and probably others. I can’t find some of the older reports anymore, but I’ve included all the ones I still have in the pictures. Sometimes a certain bacterium is detected, and other times it isn’t. My vaginal pH has consistently been around 4, but I’ve consistently had a low amount of Lactobacillus. This is despite taking probiotics regularly and using vaginal Lactobacillus suppositories, but for some reason they just don’t seem to colonize. I don’t have any unusual or unpleasant vaginal odor, and my discharge is basically odorless. However, I have persistent vulvar itching, occasional burning, and sometimes I develop acute cystitis after sex. My family doctor’s advice has been not to treat the bacteria, as she believes they are simply normal colonization. I also understand that I probably shouldn’t take any more antibiotics, because I’m worried they will further reduce my Lactobacillus and make the situation even worse. Could anyone help me look at my test results and give me some advice? They’re in Italian, so I’m not sure whether anyone here will be able to understand them. I’m currently using vaginal estriol gel every day, and I’m hoping that this will help improve the situation. Note: My cervical swabs for chlamydia, Ureaplasma, and other STIs have all been negative. I’ve been tested three times this year. My boyfriend and I have always had unprotected sex, so I don’t know whether these bacteria could be coming from him or whether they are simply part of my own vaginal flora. Does he need to get tested for anything? He doesn’t have any unusual symptoms. submitted by /u/aurorarapunzel [link] [comments]

Could this still be herpes?

I had sex for the first time about two weeks ago. After that, I had some flu-like symptoms and itching, so I went to a gynecologist and got tested for STDs. They said it wasn’t herpes and that I had vaginitis, so I felt relieved. But today I noticed two small blister-like bumps on the side just below my vaginal opening. They look a little red and whitish, but they don’t hurt when I touch them. I do occasionally feel some burning or stinging around my vulva, although I thought that might be from shaving. Could this still be herpes? submitted by /u/Ok_Astronaut_9050 [link] [comments]

Friend just found out she’s pregnant today… 7TH MONTHS! But she has been on GLP-1……

My friend just discovered she’s 7 months pregnant after unknowingly being pregnant the entire time- should we be concerned about medication/nutrition exposure? I’m posting because I’m honestly pretty worried for my friend and would appreciate some insight from people who know more about pregnancy/OB care. My friend just found out that she is approximately 7 months pregnant . She had genuinely not known she was pregnant this entire time. Her doctor has done an ultrasound and told her that the baby currently looks fine , which is obviously reassuring. The part that worries me is what happened during those 7 months because she had no idea she was pregnant. She has been receiving Mounjaro (tirzepatide) injections approximately every month from another doctor throughout this time. She was apparently being treated for diabetes/weight management and the doctor giving the injections didn’t know she was pregnant either . She also hasn’t really been eating much or particularly well during this time. There have been periods where she would eat only once a day , sometimes just something like an egg for the whole day. She has also taken things like Tylenol and constipation medication. Now that she knows she’s pregnant, obviously she’s going to be working with her OB!! I’m especially worried about the Mounjaro exposure and the fact that she has had very limited nutrition for much of the pregnancy . At the same time, her doctor says the baby looks fine on ultrasound, so I’m trying not to panic or assume the worst. For anyone familiar with OB care or pregnancies where someone didn’t know they were pregnant until very late: How reassuring is it when the ultrasound looks normal at ~7 months despite this kind of medication and nutritional exposure? What kind of additional monitoring would typically be done? I know Reddit can’t determine whether the baby is healthy from this ultrasound, and we’re not looking for a diagnosis. I’m mainly trying to understand how concerning this situation

Is this normal? 21F, started taking Sibilla 2 months ago and now I’ve been bleeding for 10 days

I’m 21 and started taking Sibilla every day 2 months ago on my gynecologist’s recommendation. I’ve had regular periods for years, but they’ve always been extremely painful and very heavy, with large clots. Sometimes I even bleed around ovulation or about a week before my period. My gynecologist found some small endometrial polyps and recommended starting birth control pills. I was honestly desperate, so I agreed. I had my first period while taking Sibilla and barely bled at all. I hardly needed a pad, although I still had some pain (just not nearly as bad). The problem is that I’m due to have my placebo week again next week, and I’ve already been bleeding for 10 days straight. I’ve taken the pill every single day at exactly 10:30 PM and haven’t missed a single pill. The bleeding isn’t particularly heavy, but it’s definitely red blood, not just spotting, and I’ve also been having pain around my ovaries. Why am I bleeding like I’m having another period? Is this normal when starting the pill? I’m honestly so frustrated because I was hoping the pill would help with the bleeding and pain, not give me even more days of bleeding. Has anyone else experienced this when starting Sibilla or a similar combined pill? submitted by /u/HiraethMoonlight [link] [comments]

Muscle spasm or baby kicks???

18F , no medications, never smoked or consumed alcohol. I had genital rubbing (we tried to have PIV but failed as I was not ready physically)4 months ago and I took a pregnancy test at day 31 and day 90 and both were negetive. I have also had a heavy period that lasted 10 days and had clots every hr (in June) and the other two periods were light. Since 3-4 days I am experiencing a weird "twitch" in my lower belly, it's like a small thud and it goes away for hrs and randomly occurs again in sets of 2-3 and goes away again . Is it just normal spasms that I am over analysing or can they be actual baby kicks , I'm so terrified submitted by /u/vivivivi_007 [link] [comments]

I’m just looking for any tips or tricks you guys have. I also do drink water as well, but I feel like it still doesn’t help and I take my probiotics. I wash myself down there. I do everything I’m supposed to do. I just don’t know if there’s something else that I’m missing or if I’m doing something wrong y’all let me know if anything has helped you guys. Mother at appointment

Helloooo!! I (20f) have my first gyno appt next week. For context: my periods are super heavy and painful and irregular and I’m currently on emzahh and I just can’t handle that medication anymore. Now, I asked my mom what gynecologist she goes to so that I can schedule an appointment with her. Unbeknownst to me, she went ahead and scheduled me an appointment next week. My mom is a very traditional middle eastern mother, and she scheduled my appointment with someone who’s from the same ethnic group as us (speaks same language etc.). The thing is… my mom also told me she will be coming with me to the appointment. I usually wouldn’t mind if it was a general physician checkup. however, I want to be honest with my gynecologist that I am sexually active, but I do not want my mother knowing this. I tried telling her I don’t want her to come but she insists that she wants to go to ask my doctor some questions for herself. I was wondering if they will even allow her in the room during the appointment (pls god I hope not). Otherwise I will be forced to lie to my gynecologist which I just don’t want to do. (P.s there is no alternative where I admit to my mother I am sexually active she will genuinely disown me.) submitted by /u/Apprehensive-Bug-423 [link] [comments]

Chance of pregnancy after bi-salp?

I got a pelvic ultrasound for menorrhagia (heavy periods) and they told me everything came back normal except for a 0.4 cm fluid filled sac in my endometrial cavity. How Could Preterm Labor Happen So Suddenly After a Normal 21-Week Ultrasound?

Recently, my wife and I went through a heartbreaking premature labor at 21 weeks and 2 days and lost our baby girl. On August 12, 2026 , we had our regular 20-week anatomy/anomaly scan. According to the report and doctor, both mom and baby looked normal, and we were not told about any major concerns. Less than 24 hours later, on August 13 , my wife started having abdominal pain and back pain. Later, we noticed blood when she urinated, so we went to the emergency room. After examination, the doctor confirmed that preterm labor had already started and was progressing . Our baby girl was delivered on August 14 at 2:32 AM . She was born alive and fought for more than 3 hours , but sadly she was declared deceased around 5:43 AM . We are still confused about how everything could change so quickly when the ultrasound looked normal just the day before. The doctors have not been able to give us a clear reason for why this happened. If anyone, especially an OB/GYN, MFM specialist, nurse, or parent who has experienced something similar, can share possible reasons or what tests/questions we should ask our doctor before a future pregnancy, we would really appreciate it. We are not trying to blame anyone. We simply want to understand what may have happened. TIA. 🙏 submitted by /u/Efficient-Brick-3871 [link] [comments]

can weight gain affect bladder and pelvic floor?

TLDR: 46kgs in january, gained a bit of weight and since then having worse pelvic pain and going to the bathroom more often as well as having issues fully emptying my bladder. could these two things be connected? hello, all. in january, i was around 46kgs (\~ 101lbs). since then, i probably gained a few kgs, i'm not sure how much since i don't own a scale. for the past few months, i've had more pelvic pain as well as going to the toilet more often, every time i drink, having trouble fully emptying my bladder... (i have to go to the bathroom two or three times an hour to fully empty it.) i talked about it to my doctor, and we did an ultrasound for my kidneys and urinary tract, nothing alarming despite still having a bit of urine in my bladder after going to the bathroom. it has gotten to the point where i can't go out too far from home or too long, and i have to make sure there are free bathrooms everywhere i go. my doctor is sending me to a urologist soon to try and figure out what's going on... i've had scans done a few months ago for pain near the ovaries and pelvic and nothing weird came back. i've always had pelvic pain but it seems to have gotten worse since i've had these issues with my bladder since i sometimes feel like i have to focus hard and push a bit to pee. so... could gaining a bit of weight cause certain issues like this? thanks. submitted by /u/chouchappell [link] [comments]

Cervical mucus after sex or sperm?

Last night I recently had sex with my boyfriend I’ve been on simpesse birth control pill which is a combination pill i believe and I’ve had a few pregnancy scares recently bc I’m young and I really don’t want to be pregnant at all. Yesterday I was late to take my pill by a minute but the last week I took my pills wrongly bc I got confused so I accidentally took the Saturday pill on Sunday for that week instead of taking the Sunday pill on Sunday which was the start of the new week but I’ve been taking the rest of the week pills on the rest of the days so that’s kinda freaking me out bc I don’t know if it was wrong or doesn’t keep me protected against pregnancy. Then when Saturday came I just took the Sunday pill I was originally supposed to take at the start of the first week and then this Sunday I started the new week in the Sunday pill. Anyways yesterday after that week has gone by so the start of the new week I had sex with my boyfriend on Wednesday night and we usually do raw but before he ejaculates he puts a condom on and finishes inside of me. After that I always go to the bathroom to pee afterwards and I pee and I’ve noticed this clump of like jelly glob it had some blood likes tiny bit of it which could be from friction I’m guessing but it was freaking me out bc I don’t know if it was sperm and it somehow got in there. I know there is precum but the thing is I’ve had raw sex before like this situation and nothing ever jelly like came out when I went to the bathroom so I’m really confused and scared. It was cloudy it wasn’t clear at all I know this was gross but I touched it and it was like stretchy and wet liquidy obviously I really need help on knowing what this is bc I’m really freaking out. I’ve told my boyfriend after and he checked the condom and moved it all around and nothing was leaking out at all and there were no holes so I’m really confused. submitted by /u/sydnurd [link] [comments]

Hi, this is my first read it post. Need help/advice

NOT SURE IF THIS POST BELONGS HERE!!!! I usually have have regular periods. I missed my periods for a week or so. I informed my then husband and wanted to take a pregnancy test. But he freaked out and forced me to get an abortion, if i was pregnant. I was not allowed to to take a pregnancy kit test or visit a doctor. We fought over it for days. One day he sent his family away for some vacation(we were living with his family). The same night he asked me to prepare a dish which he hates. I was surprised but I prepared it and we had dinner together. After 4-5 hours. I started cramping and had a very heavy bleeding. It was the worst period i had ever experienced. I told my ex what happened and he was very happy that I am not pregnant any more. He convinced me that it was all my imagination and I was never pregnant. To my surprise my in-laws returned the next day itself from the trip. A strange thing is that my ex mother in law made some herbal medicine and asked me to have it. I took it multiple time and it worsened my bleeding. Later i got to know that it is usual given to women postpartum to help with the bleeding. Later my ex told me a story of his male friend who is a doctor who gave his wife medicine to induce periods without her knowledge by mixing it with food. And how that doctor got a divorce because of the events leading after that. This made me thing about that night when I had the period. My gut feel tells me that my ex did something like that. I can't get it out of my head. To make my doubts worse he went to a foreign trip with his girlfriend in less than a month after our separation(not divorce). And guess what she is a doctor too.. Please help me. Am I imagining things. Or is it even remotely possible. I feel so guilty for not getting a healthy check up with my obgyn. I feel like I don't deserve to be a mother. submitted by /u/Impossible-Square164 [link] [comments]

Balls needed — fertility specialist or gynaecologist to verify anatomy in a decoded 600-year-old manuscript

I've decoded the an ancient Manuscript. The plant illustrations are human reproductive anatomy — male and female fertility medicine disguised as botany. The decode has passed independent statistical testing across five separate evidence layers. Five doctors have already ghosted me because nobody wants to touch something controversial. I need ONE qualified reproductive medicine specialist, gynaecologist, or fertility consultant to look at 30 labelled diagrams and confirm whether the anatomy is real. That's it. Look at it. Say what you see. Yes or no. If you confirm it, your name goes on the biggest discovery in manuscript studies. Credited on everything. Published. On the record. Requirements: qualified in reproductive medicine or gynaecology, knowledge of fertility pathology, and the spine to put your name on something unconventional if the evidence holds up. Not interested in convincing anyone. The evidence is already organised and labelled. Either it's real anatomy or it isn't. submitted by /u/Original-Pipe-840 [link] [comments]

Should I worry?

On July 15, I engaged in genital rubbing / dryhumping with my partner fully clothed. I had underwear and shorts on while he had boxers and thick sweatpants on. In the moment, he ejaculated and his boxers and sweatpants became wet. I was worrying about a possibility of pregnancy, then my period came on July 26th. It was long (around 6-7 days), heavy, with clots and seemed completely normal and consistent with how my other periods have been in the past. I don't think my underwear was wet from the ejaculate on his pants, however I don't feel confident saying it 100% wasn't. My period should come within this next week. I did just have surgery today and I am taking medication so that may delay it or make it come early. Did Lo Loestrin FE 1-10 make you gain weight?

I already have an IUD as my main bc method, but in the last 9 months or so, I’ve developed severe pain radiating to my legs around my period. Menstrual cramps are worse, too. My gynecology prescribed Lo Loestrin FE 1-10 to help with symptoms. I was on a different bc pill many years ago, and I think it made me gain significant weight. Lactating at 3 weeks pregnant

LMP: 7/30 Conception date: Most likely 8/9 Next period due in 6 days (8/19. I know it's very early but bear with me) This morning I started spontaneously lactating, and it's relatively quite a lot coming out. I have one living child and I could only breastfeed him for 3 months. I haven't produced any milk in over a year until this morning. I took a pregnancy test fully expecting it to be negative because it's so early and it's one of the cheap strip tests. It's faint, but it's distinctly and undeniably positive. 5 hours later (I made sure not to pee all morning so it was more concentrated) I took two more tests and they're both negative. No hint of a line at all on either of them. But the first test I took was SO positive I'm moving forward assuming I'm pregnant until proven otherwise. I'll retest in a few days but I'm just so worried something deeper is going on here. Also possibly relevant info: - I had a right ectopic pregnancy a few years ago. My right fallopian tube is removed but I still have both ovaries. - On 8/11 I had intense one sided severe pain that lasted about 10 hours. The only other time I'd experienced something like that was my ectopic pregnancy, but I wasn't pregnant and I don't have a tube there now anyways. So I assumed it was a ruptured cyst or something. - A few months ago I was getting blood tests which incidentally found my HCG to be 14. The doctor told me I was probably pregnant. I went back in after a few days because I still wasn't getting a positive urine test, and my HCG was 0. In the end I decided it must have been a chemical pregnancy even though the timing didn't really make sense. I'm looking for anyone who has experienced something like this. submitted by /u/sweetfirechicken [link] [comments]

11 days late… Skipped or…?

Guys, I’m feeling really nervous. My period is 11 days late. Last month it was also 12 days late, but I haven’t had sex since then. My last time having penetrative sex was more than 6 months ago. I took a pregnancy test, and it was negative, 26 in total (+ US, last one was in 14, August, e/ no fetus)… On the 14th, I had an ultrasound. My doctor saw a 22 mm follicle in my right ovary and said I would probably ovulate soon. It’s already the 18th, and still nothing. I don’t know what to do. I also had some intimate contact that didn’t involve any kind of penetration or ejaculation, just rubbing while we were fully clothed. I’m scared. I’ll only be able to take another test at the end of the month. Should I schedule another appointment? What should I do? submitted by /u/Mysterious-Box-7487 [link] [comments]

Is it normal to pee the bed during my period?

Hi, English isn't my first language, so please excuse any spelling errors in this post since I'll be using Google Translate. I have a question: is it normal to wet the bed only during my period? Before, if I wet the bed, it was because I drank water before going to sleep and didn't realize how long it would take for my body to release all the urine. So, I got into the habit of going to the bathroom before bed to avoid these accidents. Everything was normal until four months ago when my period started. Even though I did what I always do, I woke up and was completely wet with pee. I started cleaning up and thought maybe I just hadn't emptied it all the night before. I let it go for the rest of the day, making sure to go to the bathroom and empty as much as I could before going to sleep the next day. But it happened again, and it continued until my period ended. It didn't happen again until my next period, and it hasn't stopped since. I don't know what causes it, but I really feel like it's a big deal because it's been happening for the last four months, and I'm getting fed up with having to clean everything every day during my period. Thanks for reading, and if you have any idea what might be happening to me, I'd appreciate your input. (I've also been thinking about seeing a gynecologist, but I'm scared; if anyone here has been to one, could you tell me about your experience—good or bad?) submitted by /u/Winter-Dimension-832 [link] [comments]

Small cervix?

Okay so I had my first Pap smear about a year ago, I was graduating from college and wanted to get everything checked out before I lost the school health insurance and it was the single most painful thing I had ever experienced, I genuinely screamed during it Anyways, something the doctor had said to me was that I had a “small cervix” and that seemed to be the reason she had some difficulty during the Pap smear, I didn’t ask any questions about if she meant a “short cervix” or what because I wasn’t aware of things like short cervixes at the time So my questions are what exactly is a “small cervix” and was that the reason it hurt so much during the Pap smear? Because when I told my roommate what the doc had said, she seemed to believe that it meant that sex was going to be painful for me even though I’ve had toys up there, but maybe they just weren’t as big as the speculum so I need to worry about the size of what goes in there? And also what are some other things I need to be aware of with a “small cervix” because I tried to look up on my own what that might affect but no matter what I look up it all goes back to short cervixes during pregnancy specifically I’m no longer on any health insurance currently to go to a doctor to ask, so any information y’all can give me here is greatly appreciated!!! submitted by /u/Vinceisin [link] [comments]

Perianal warts

Hello, I had previously posted about a mole in my perianal area. Well it has now grew over time and seems to be a condyloma. When younger I got set of Gardasil 9 vaccines, I don’t know how I still managed to get warts and I am also pregnant on my last trimester. Has anyone else developed warts during pregnancy? submitted by /u/Disastrous_Bench_803 [link] [comments]

gynecologist specialist?

for context i’ve been to the er four times now. the first time was because of runny stool. they gave me an iv and told me to stay hydrated. second time i had pelvic pain as well and diarrhea. did a ct w contrast and found a 10cm ovarian cyst on my left ovary. the next visits were because of pain. and the last visit said it could be a dermoid cyst and that it was smaller than before. but i also didn’t have a full bladder. i finally saw my gyn today and was basically told there’s a potential chance of it being a tumor/cancerous. she had said she was wary about it and we wouldn’t know what it was until it was out. i’m lowkey nervous but trying to stay positive. i also learned they’ll also be taking my ovary and tube as well and will most likely have an open surgery. and with that i’m gonna have to stay in the hospital a couple days. i’m just overall overwhelmed with everything going on. i’ve only ever had surgery once, and i wasn’t even fully put under last time. for reference im 22. anything i should expect seeing a specialist? or any questions i should ask? anything important i should bring up? please and thank you all! submitted by /u/Few_Shopping_6090 [link] [comments]

Can you help me identify what those are? (NSFW)

hey! those little ‘pimples’ appeared (or I only noticed them) about 3 weeks ago after I shaved. they are on the side of my vagina and do not hurt (other than the bigger redder one, which is around the corner of where my butt cheek folds so I guess that could be a reason.) I was recently at the OBGYN for my annual cervical cancer swab so she probably saw them but didn’t comment so I assumed they’re not alarming… but when I asked for the STD/STI tests she said there’s no need to test for herpes (is this herpes?) BTW the tests came back negative. I assumed they’re pimples or irritation or sth as I do have sensitive skin and it flares up around my period and in heat. please let me know what you think I don’t want to be worried about this. FYI: I shaved with a brand new razor. submitted by /u/Significant_Area_486 [link] [comments]

Are these hormone levels at 18 months postpartum and breastfeeding normal?

Hello! I am a 30 year old female, I am waiting on an appointment to see my GP, but she's on leave right now. I had my hormones and everything checked because I'm 18 months postpartum and don't have my period back yet, I also have a ridiculous amount of symptoms that I genuinely worried I had hit menopause. I breastfed my second child and never had this problem, I also have low milk supply so have been combo feeding from the beginning. My son has been only breastfeeding once or twice a day since about 14 months. He is not ready to stop just yet unfortunately! I am just tired of feeling crappy! 😮‍💨 submitted by /u/PaigeMariia [link] [comments]

Reoccurring bv

About 4–5 months ago, I started having stomach/pelvic pain and abnormal discharge. I tested positive for BV, with multiple bacteria including Mobiluncus curtisii, Mobiluncus mulieris, Atopobium vaginae, Gardnerella vaginalis, Prevotella bivia, and BVAB2. I was treated with oral metronidazole. About 2 months later, the BV returned, so I was prescribed metronidazole gel, which made me feel 100% better. Now, about 4 months later, it’s back again. I went to urgent care today and tested positive for BV, but they didn’t do another culture. They prescribed tinidazole, so I’m assuming it could be the same bacteria as before. I also started taking Fem-Dophilus (5 billion CFU, GR-1 and RC-14). I finished the antibiotics 5 days ago, but I’m already noticing discharge again, although there’s no odor this time. I still have about half a tube of Metrogel left. I haven’t had sex recently, and my partner is currently on antibiotics as well. I’m trying to avoid repeated doctor visits and testing because I can’t afford it. Boric acid is something I really wanted to avoid, but I’m not sure what else to do. What would be the best approach from here? submitted by /u/Icy-Solution801 [link] [comments]

I was diagnosed with endometrial hyperplasia, atypia

Hello, I fully understand that advice from anyone online is not medical advice . Rather, I’m looking for informed opinions, personal experiences, and ideally references to reputable research. I think what I’m really looking for is either confirmation that my concerns are reasonable, or reassurance that I may be overthinking my concerns. I was just diagnosed with endometrial hyperplasia, atypia, and my gynaecologist has recommended a hysterectomy as soon as possible. She will be calling me next Monday to discuss the surgery and make the necessary arrangements. That reality is acceptable by me. In the meantime, I have been prescribed medroxyprogesterone acetate 40 mg per day. This dosage concerns me because I have coronary artery disease and underwent a double coronary bypass in 2018 after a 100% LAD blockage. I currently take low-dose aspirin, candesartan, rosuvastatin and ezetimibe. I understand why progesterone is being used for atypical hyperplasia, while I wait for surgery. What concerns me is that medroxyprogesterone carries warnings regarding blood clots and cardiovascular events, and 40 mg/day seems like a substantial dose. I’m having difficulty finding information specifically about medroxyprogesterone used in women who already have established coronary artery disease or a history of bypass surgery. Much of the cardiovascular research I’ve found involves estrogen combined with a progestin, which isn’t quite the same situation. Does anyone know of good research addressing the thromboembolic or cardiovascular risk of medroxyprogesterone alone in women with pre-existing coronary artery disease, particularly at higher doses? The timing is what makes this difficult. I’ve been instructed to begin the medication today, but I won’t be able to speak with my gynaecologist again until Monday. ---- On a different but related topic, I am also considering having my uterus, cervix and fallopian tubes removed while retaining my ovaries, if medically appropriate. I would be i

Fatigue due to possible uterine polyp and heavy bleeding that won’t stop.

Ever since October of 2025 I have had crazy periods that were super heavy and very sharp random and sudden pelvic pains. These pains were so intense the only thing I could was hold still or curl up in a fetal position until they went away. They probably occurred about once or twice a month. They did not seem to have anything to do with my cycles as they would occur whenever. Back then I had the copper IUD Paraguard. At this point I had had it for about 3 years. I decided that my cycles and the pains were coming from my IUD and that I could live with it as the alternative was being without BC (I do not like hormonal BC). Fast forward to the April/Match of this year and I decided I had had enough. I had been spotting on and off for weeks at a time. Me and my boyfriend discussed and agreed that I should have it removed and we would work around avoiding pregnancy but if it happened, it happened. We are both in our late 20’s and have been together for 5 years. I scheduled the appointment and got it removed. I discussed with my doctor all my symptoms and she agreed all these symptoms were most likely from the IUD. I thought it was weird that I had had this IUD for 3 years with no problems up until now but I figured my doctor knows what she’s talking about. She did go ahead and schedule me an ultrasound just to be sure everything was okay. My ultrasound was scheduled a couple months out. About 3 weeks after my appointment I get the heaviest period of my life. Huge clots. The whole 9. I waited a week, then two, then suddenly it had been almost 2 months with non stop bleeding. I waited until my ultrasound and dealt with the fatigue and depression of not knowing what is going on with my body. I got my ultrasound results and they noticed my uterine lining was about 3 mm and I had (potentially) a very small uterine polyp. My doctor said I had options. I could have a hysterscopy and get it removed, or take a medication that would stop the bleeding. I opted for the latter. A week

NSFW: strange discharge (link)

so, i am 27F, i am 2 months post op from a laparoscopic surgery to remove endometriosis. diagnosed with stage 3 endometriosis. shortly after i ended up having BV symptoms, swabbed, then took two rounds of antibiotics (metronidazole and diflucan just incase of a yeast infection) bc it just didn’t go away (first, oral met for 10 days, second, 5 days of gel met). i just ended my second period (since surgery). it was longer than usual, about 8 days long. today i went to the bathroom to find this monstrosity (image) [imgur]( https://imgur.com/a/rIZUim1 ) link or [postimages link]( https://postimg.cc/mhH4PjMw ) i’m not in any pain or feeling differently than i normally would. this “thing” has flecks of what looks like blood, it feels like wet wads of toilet paper, and it is some gray/white thick texture. it doesn’t break apart either. no smell either. i thought it might be a yeast infection but it just doesn’t look like one i have ever had. im not sure if this is normal for the course antibiotics? or post op? or endometriosis? i just want to know if anyone can identify this or if this is important for my gynecologist to be aware of. submitted by /u/EmotionalSpread8359 [link] [comments]

Please help

I’m feeling really anxious and would appreciate some advice because I’m currently 31 days late for my period. The last time I know for sure that I had vaginal sex was April 20, the day after my period ended. We used a condom the entire time, he ejaculated while wearing the condom, and afterward I filled the condom with water to check for any holes or leaks. There weren’t any. I got my next period May 16–20. On May 21, we may have done something sexual, but honestly, I don’t remember if we actually had vaginal sex. I don’t think we did because I normally take a video of myself checking the condom with water or write down what happened afterward, and I didn’t do either of those things that time. If we did have sex, it would have been the day after my period ended, and I would have checked the condom afterward to make sure there were no leaks. I then had another normal period from June 15–19, and I had no sex at all in June. On July 6, we did sexual things, but there was no vaginal sex. My period was expected around July 16, but it never came, and I’m now 31 days late. Could I somehow still be pregnant from April 20 or possibly May 21? Would having normal periods in May and June essentially rule out pregnancy from those encounters? Since I’m 31 days late, should I still take a pregnancy test, or would pregnancy from those encounters be extremely unlikely? I’m really scared and don’t know what to do, and I’d really appreciate some reassurance or advice. submitted by /u/KeyConfidence2040 [link] [comments]

Reocurring yeast infection before period no matter the treatment

I feel like giving up because this is getting ridiculous. I had my first infection at the end of January due to using vaginal ring which I stopped using immediately. In a week it messed me up very bad, gave me my first and probably worst infection. It was treated with Itraconazole orally, probiotics after and gave me a 2 month break making me think that's the end. And I was very wrong. Infections started coming every month a 1-1.5 weeks before my period. The first two were treated with Fenticonazole. Still kept coming back no matter the probiotics. I went to my gynecologist, we did a swab - candida albicans, he prescribed me Nystatin for 10 days immediately after my period ended. Probiotics right after. It came back mid probiotic treatment, right before the period. Went there again, did another swab, candida albicans, not immune to any of the meds, sensitive to them all yet not working. At the same time I had bacterial test done and turns out i streptococcus agalactiae. He prescribed me Nystatin and Nifuratel to deal with both infections and Itraconazole once again orally since it worked the first time longer than any other treatment. Now I'm using probiotics, I am a week before my period and it feels like my infection is starting again. It's like it doesn't react to the meds at all or manages to repeatedly come back. I am slightly anemic but I am dealing with it, no glucose issues. I don't douche, I wear cotton underwear, limit sweets, drink enough of water, only use appropriate soaps for hygiene down there, I am not pregnant, haven't had sex in months I am genuinely running out of options why. I have uterus didelphys (double uterus, two cervixes and all) but it should not affect it. What the hell am I supposed to do at this point? submitted by /u/4ynev [link] [comments]

Colposcopy Questions

Getting my first (hopefully last) colposcopy in a month, and I was wondering what I need to know. The office told me to eat beforehand and take 600mg of ibuprofen. I broke it down by question. Prep: The office only told me what was above, is there anything else I should do beforehand? Pain: My therapist (who went through this whole ordeal and had cervical cancer) told me to ask for valium for the procedure—do y’all think the office will do that? I think my office will but I’m curious about others’ experiences with that. I got an IUD ~6 months ago, how would you compare the pain to that? Mine hurt like hell, but it definitely wasn’t the worst pain I’ve ever had to endure. Procedure: How long did it last? Were there parts that felt worse than others? Afterwards: How long were you guys in pain afterwards? What was the severity of it? Was there anything you couldn’t do l? Aside from sex haha. I’m going to call the office to ask about the valium, and I know they’ll be answer a lot of these questions, but I’m looking for some anecdotal advice. Any tips or tricks for any part of this ordeal? Thanks! Here’s to hoping for good news at the end of it all. submitted by /u/hoatziin [link] [comments]

what's does this discharge mean?

I know the color might look reddish in the picture because of the pink underwear but it looks brown in person. I just need help understanding if I should be concerned. I'm 25 and have never been to a gynaecologist (grew up in a conservative family) and as an adult I know I should now but I'm so scared and embarrassed. I have been seeing these brownish stains on my underwear. I don't know if it's a discharge or something else completely. I've always been worried about this and so I've always showered regularly and ever since I started getting concerned about this I shower multiple times a day just to stay clean but I feel so embarrassed to go to a professional for the stains and smell. I don't have a sex life because I'm too scared to get into anything because of this issue now. I don't know what to do. Also, I'm an international student in a different country so I don't know much about the health system here and the language is also a barrier. I'm just hoping this isn't something serious that I've been avoiding out of fear. submitted by /u/mooniestarlight [link] [comments]

Constant Feeling & Reoccurring Buildup

Hi! I’m trying to figure out if this is normal or I should look into an OB/GYN. For reference, I’m F19. I feel like constantly wet down there. I live in the midwest, so I am aware that humidity and sweat could potentially be a contributor, but there’s so much moisture that sometimes I have to change multiple times a day. And before people ask, I am not aroused. I also don’t know if I’m experiencing excessive discharge, sweat, or something else. I’m not sure even what that would look like. I’ve noticed that I usually get a soft, whitish buildup around my vulva area. It isn’t hard or crusty, and I can wash it away, but then a week or two later there is more. I do try to wash multiple times a day, but I do at the very least have a daily shower. I’m wondering if that could potentially be making things worse? Another thing that may be relevant is that my periods are extremely irregular. I can sometimes go a multitude of months without getting one and I currently haven’t had one for almost 7 months. I don’t have any sexual activity so pregnancy/STIs are not a possibility. I’m kinda lost here, so please help or point me toward resources! submitted by /u/AdEconomy501 [link] [comments]

Is what my OB did all those years ago something normal?

Hello all, this is my first time posting here but this has been something that has had me traumatized from ever going back to an OBGYN. And I guess I want to know what in the tapdancing fuck even happened to me that day. So, to preface, This happened about five years ago in Mississippi, when I was 18. I still hadnt had my period, don’t come for my parents or anyone please, we had a lot happening at that point that took more president. But we went to an NP, who referred us to an OB (a man), and had me do some scans. Where I found out I had MRKH, Type 1. Born without a uterus; but still had my tubes and ovaries. (Haha period pain? What’s that- lol) Anyway. The OB wanted to do a pelvic exam, just to make sure everything on the outside looked right, and it did. He went through the whole standard exam. But.. then he did something that is the reason I made this post today. During the examination, the doctor told me either “I want to check something” or possibly “Can I check something?” (I genuinely don’t remember which wording he used anymore.) I remember agreeing, but I was not told what he intended to do or what exactly he was checking. He then inserted a lubricated cotton swab/Q-tip into my urethra. I remember him pushing it in quite deeply and then removing it. It was EXTREMELY PAINFUL LIKE HOLY SHIT.. Far beyond anything I had experienced before. I remember being unable to breathe normally because of the pain, turning red, and basically freezing. I wanted to scream or push him away or kick him in the nuts, but completely clammed up. Only AFTER he had done it did he explain that he was checking to see whether my vaginal opening had somehow “fused” or connected with my urethra during development. (Like how in the HELL does that even determine anything??) He didn’t explain what he was looking for, what he found, or what the result of the examination was. He simply moved on with the appointment, and shortly afterward he explained that I had MRKH. I’ve spent the last five

Medical malpractice during birth resulting in death of baby. Help.

Okay this is going to be a long one fair warning. And if you are here to comment that medical malpractice lawsuits are pointless and not worth it, then keep it to yourself. I just want justice for my son and myself. This happened in May of 2025. I was 20 years old and had a normal pregnancy up until the dreaded gestational diabetes test. I failed and was then instructed on how to eat and how to give myself small nightly insulin shots because I was unable to bring my morning fasting number down with just diet. However my numbers were not really that high at all just a little more than the standard. Due to this I was told I must have an induction. This is the standard I have been told. Even tho baby was always weighing on track. I went in on a Wednesday morning at 6 with my boyfriend at side. I was 39 weeks and 4 days. Things started out great, we played Fortnite while the pills they put up there softened my cervix. They did a few of those and I slowly progressed. By midnight my water broke naturally and the pain started. I was insufferable with back labor. By about 2 a.m I called for epidural. My first epidural was great relief. That man was a saint. I layed down and even got some sleep. The next morning the nurses continued to check me every few hours. The doctor had been by once or twice but she was seemingly uninterested and told the nurse to get her when the real action starts. By 8 a.m. they decided I was ready to push. This is when things started going south. I was forced to push for 6 hours straight with little to no breaks. My nurse tried everything she could. I was in all positions we tried all the methods nothing worked. She just kept telling me “just a little more”. The doctor came in a few times, she even did an ultrasound at one point because just now it accrued to her that I had said baby was face up. She decided that was the cause of the length of time I was pushing. Granted I was a first time mom so yes I would say it’s normal at this point. At around

Ovarian Cyst Rupture & Internal Bleeding

A few nights ago I had a terrifying near-death experience that I want to share on this subreddit, because I hope there are other people who might’ve went through something similar or who are professionals who might have some helpful advice as I recover. I (24F) have never had any medical complications before this in my life. I think the only other time I’ve been a patient in a hospital was when I was born. I’ve always been blessed by being very healthy. About three years ago, I opted to get a Kyleena IUD because I started seeing my boyfriend (25M). Other than losing my period and some pain for a few weeks after insertion, I had no complications with it. A few nights ago, my boyfriend and I were having really lazy sex. It was not intense by any means. I felt a bit of cramping, and told him to just re-adjust, and the pain mostly dissipated. Maybe 15ish minutes afterwards, the pain became more intense and I thought that he might’ve shifted my IUD. I took some ibuprofen and tried to muscle through the pain. A few hours passed and I was getting worse. I woke up my boyfriend from crying out in pain, and then fainted when I tried to get up to use the bathroom. He called 911 and firefighters and EMS came to get me to the hospital. I will never forget how scared his voice was when I woke up on the ground. The pain I felt on the way to the hospital was beyond excruciating. They gave me fluids and a CT scan, and told me that I had an ovarian cyst that had ruptured and was causing internal bleeding. It’s hard to fully recall this part of the night because I was so terrified and in so much pain. They were unable to give me any pain meds because my blood pressure was so low. Eventually, they took me into emergency surgery where they took out the remainder of the cyst, cauterized the wound, and drained the blood from my abdomen. This whole experience has been really traumatizing and it’s been hard for me these past few days to come to terms with what happened to me and what could’

Menstruation for 16 days.

I’m just worried because I have been bleeding out for 11 days already. I was diagnosed to have PCOS/PMOS last October 2025. I was prescribed to take pills (Cyproterone Acetate Ethinylestradiol) “Altea Pills” the same month I was diagnosed. Never had any problems with my monthly period while taking the pills, it comes on time and usually takes about 3-7 days. However, just now. I had an emergency appendectomy last July 25 (Saturday). The last time I took my pills was on July 24th (Friday). With the surgery approaching, I need to undergo “NPO” or Nothing Per Orem. Means I have to go “fasting” (no drinking or eating) to prepare for it. It took me 5 days of NPO before I could finally eat and drink again. I still have 9 pills left, and I started taking one on July 30th (Thursday) until August 2nd (Sunday) and I restarted a new pack on August 3rd (Monday) and discarded the rest since there’s 5 left. I simply followed the instruction on how to take the pills as said on the packet. And now I’m bleeding straight for 11 days which has not happened before. I’m just worried, did I do the right thing? Or I misunderstood? Please help. My appointment is still on August 28th :(( submitted by /u/s7bene11even [link] [comments]

Very confused about bleeding after sex + pregnancy risk

I had sex twice on August 11th, and both times he ejaculated inside me. Right after sex, I had a tiny amount of bleeding, but then it completely stopped. Then on August 13th, I started having very light bleeding again. It wasn’t even enough to fill a pad. Along with that, I suddenly had some of the most excruciating cramps I’ve ever experienced. The bleeding eventually stopped completely, and now I’m only having watery, clear discharge. I’m really confused about what the bleeding was. I was also about 2 days before ovulation when I had sex, so I know pregnancy is possible because it was during my fertile window. Has anyone experienced something similar? Could this have just been irritation from sex, ovulation-related bleeding, or something else? And is there a chance I could be pregnant from the sex on August 11th? I know it’s probably too early to test right now, but I’m just really anxious and confused about what’s going on. submitted by /u/No_Preference_5504 [link] [comments]

Infected hair follicle??

Hi everyone, I’ve been travelling for 6 months and a few weeks ago I noticed an abnormal round raised bump on my outer labia where pubic hair grows. I started freaking out that it was a wart but there was no itching or redness. I am in India and the doctor said it was a wart and I felt fucked. I travelled to Korea for a week and book a gynaecologist appointment for a second opinion where he immediately said it’s not a wart - it’s an infected hair follicle. He plucked out the follicle and prescribed me some antibiotics. I thought it would begin to fade on its own so I held off on the antibiotics, also because 2 days later I had a surgery scheduled and couldn’t take medications in the lead up. Post surgery I was prescribed antibiotics for the post surgery care and I thought this might also tackle the issue with the hair follicle. Well, it hasn’t. The raised bump is still there, (it’s not hard or firm) and it’s not going away. I still have the antibiotics from the gynaecologist but not sure I should take them immediately after the course of antibiotics from surgery. I’m desperate to look normal down there again and so I just started even putting the topical antibiotic gel from my surgery on top of it. Help, I don’t know what to do! submitted by /u/Academic-Reveal6543 [link] [comments]

vagina injury ?

My cousins were playing (they are kids) and one of them ran straight towards me and headbutted me in the vagina area - specifically in one spot ( clit area ). It hurt SO BAD in the moment and I was in shock for a second. Then the pain subsided. However, when I went to pee a 10-15mins after I got a pain in my left uterus area when putting pressure. Is this normal? Are there any warning signs I should watch out for? Edit: I was packing my suitcase and was sitting down on the floor. I felt some pain/discomfort in the pelvic region. submitted by /u/wonderingsoul10 [link] [comments]

Offered Membrane Sweep at 35 Weeks

My OBGYN offered me a membrane sweep at 35 weeks because my baby is measuring far ahead. Baby is 90th percentile. I told my OB I wanted to look further into it first before agreeing, and OB wants to revisit the convo at my 36 week appt. I asked a midwife friend her opinion, and she said she thought that OB’s advice was completely unfounded and inappropriate and encouraged me to seek a different OB. I am looking for further advice/opinions. The reason my OB offered the membrane sweep is bc he is concerned baby will get too big for me to safely birth and might get stuck on her way out, which would require an emergency c-section. Baby’s last weight estimate, at 33 weeks was 5lbs 9oz. Thoughts? submitted by /u/strawberrydream63 [link] [comments]

Bacterial Vaginosis

Hello! This is my first time in this sub, so I'm sorry if this isn't the proper way to complete a post: Last September I found a gynecologist and went in for an appointment due to itchiness and foul odor down there. She told me I have recurring BV, and there's no way to cure it. So she told me to purchase boric acid suppositories and begin using those. I stopped going to this gynecologist because I simply didn't feel listened to, or that my issue was solved. I haven't found another yet, and i'm still using boric acid weekly. I went to a check up last week and was prescribed flucanozole, as I was told I have a yeast infection. Unfortunately my recurring BV slipped my mind and I didn't mention this to the doctor. I found out I shouldn't be taking boric acid while using flucanozole, and after doing more researched learned that I shouldn't be using boric acid at all after this long period of time. Apparently flucanazole will not cure my BV and now i'm wondering if anything will? I'm asking here because i've been having a hard time finding another gyno that takes my insurance and this has been going on for about 2 years at this point. I just want to feel clean and confident in my body and it feels like nothing i'm doing is helping. What can I do in the meantime until I find a doctor?? submitted by /u/mmorrrgaann [link] [comments]

Aching cervix.

I’m near the end of pregnancy and considered high risk. I’ve had a lot of aches down below in the cervix. Does that mean I could be dilating? submitted by /u/Sea-Pepper5501 [link] [comments]

Has anyone ever experienced something like this? If yes, share the outcome please

I wasn’t trying to get pregnant. My man and I do the pull out method. All my years. My period has never been late even when I take plan B. My Flo app has never shown grey which means late period. For the first time ever, it was late. I was also spotting around the time my period was meant to come. When I wear my pad, it’s completely dry but I see droplets of blood after peeing. My urine isn’t mixed with blood but the blood come after for clarification. I was also cramping and my nipple felt tender. I also felt slightly nauseous. I looked up the symptoms and it showed possible pregnancy so I was very happy with the thought of being pregnant. I was quite optimistic I was because like I mentioned, I’ve never had this happen to my body or my period be late. I took two urine pregnancy test on different days both came back as negative. I thought I might be checking too early so I went to get a blood work and my HCG was I cried really hard after finding out. Although I wasn’t trying to get the pregnant. The thought of being pregnant got me so excited. According to my Flo app, I’m currently 2 days late. Anyone ever experienced something like this? Any advice will be helpful. submitted by /u/DescriptionMoist9892 [link] [comments]
