Low rising hcg 5.5 weeks pregnant ectopic?

what I thought was my period on day three took a pregnancy test had faint positive and have been getting betas every 2 days since then which was 12 DPO betas are as follows 24, 54, 67, 135, 202, 225. I felt a sharp pain that lasted a few seconds on my left side called the on-call doctor today she recommended be evaluated for possible ectopic in the emergency room abdominal ultrasound and transvaginal ultrasound done showing absolutely nothing no sign of ectopic no gestational sack nothing so I will continue to get betas done every two days, but definitely a non-viable pregnancy, but would love if anybody has gone through something similar.
