Offered Membrane Sweep at 35 Weeks

My OBGYN offered me a membrane sweep at 35 weeks because my baby is measuring far ahead. Baby is 90th percentile. I told my OB I wanted to look further into it first before agreeing, and OB wants to revisit the convo at my 36 week appt. I asked a midwife friend her opinion, and she said she thought that OB’s advice was completely unfounded and inappropriate and encouraged me to seek a different OB. I am looking for further advice/opinions. The reason my OB offered the membrane sweep is bc he is concerned baby will get too big for me to safely birth and might get stuck on her way out, which would require an emergency c-section.
