I'm trying to figure out if coming off high dose progesterone especially after 2-3 period cycles returning if dizziness is normal from hormones fluctuating? I stopped Aygestin (norethindrone acetate) from being on it for one full year from last April to this April. I stopped it in April, I had a cycle in May and June is when the dizziness started after my second cycle and going into my third cycle so four weeks of dealing with this. This has never happened prior to this medication, or on my periods ever. This is my first experience being on high-dose synthetic progestin and it's making me nervous for the future. I'm waiting on a surgical consult for a hysterectomy in November. I have endometriosis and mild to moderate pelvic congestion that was found after my first lap surgery last April. I just started a low dose mini pill Heather birth control after 3 months of nothing because I am scared of this dizziness and the Aygestin messing me up mentally and it didn’t help my pelvic pain. Also painful periods are not fun. I had my iron, thyroid ect checked out and it's all fine. I'm seeing a ENT in a few days. My obgyn I love her but told me to reach out to pcp and I have done that so maybe she wasn’t concerned about it being the medication or my hormones? It reminds me of coming off an antidepressant dizziness I've experienced before and grateful that subsided.
