Labiaplasty uk?

By

Hi, i am not sure if this is the correct space for this query, please remove if not. i have a very abnormal labia. I think this is because I had a surgery when I was a child which included stitching. I am so very insecure about my labia. One side is normal however the other side is much much longer. Like 10+cm longer and protudes beyond the labia majora considerably. I have avoided all and any contact with others due to how insecure I am about it, I cannot bring myself to get a smear test or examination because of it. I have had thoughts about cutting it off (of course just thoughts..). I have looked at the labia library, reddit, vulva wall, porn and I have never seen another vulva/labia like mine. I am considering making an appointment with my gp to discuss this and see if i can be put forward for a labiaplasty but im so insecure and would really appreciate anyone to let me know if this would be worth it or not. I do not want to expose myself if its a non option on the nhs. I am also saving up with the hopes to go private but its expensive and i dont have much, if any, disposable income at the moment. Please dont think i am expecting or feel entitled to free NHS cosmetic surgery i just dont know where to turn and would be mortified to go to the drs and discuss this if its a non starter. Can anyone please advise what a consultation for this would look like either privately or NHS and what they would do/say/look? Sorry, I know this is not a necessary medical question but I would so appreciate any help or advice. submitted by /u/Great-Delivery-3884 [link] [comments]
