Hymeneal remnants post vaginal hysterectomy

By

Hello, I'm 8 weeks post-op from a vaginal/laparoscopic hysterectomy for fibroids. They tore my vagina in two places, requiring 3 total stitches, during surgery and those have healed well. About a week ago I discovered I also have hymeneal remnants making my vaginal opening look very different than before surgery. It would be very at home in this gallery: https://comfortableinmyskin.com.au/blogs/gallery/hymen-remnants . I find it the new visual upsetting and am curious about getting them removed. Is this something I would need to return to my surgeon for? I don't have a regular obgyn currently as my old one had retired. Is there any risk with removal? submitted by /u/littlehollowgames [link] [comments]
