I had an ultrasound done and after reviewing the results, my obgyn wants me to come in for a surgical consult. I had lab work done prior to this and everything was normal. In fact, they only did the ultrasound for my peace of mind because my period has been largely absent since December. What is concerning in these results? I kind of wish I hadn't asked for an ultrasound lol. The right ovary measures 6.04 x 4.03 x 5.1 cm, volume 64.94 ml. There is a 4.02 x 3.55 x 3.93 cm cyst noted on the right ovary. The left ovary is not visualized. Conclusions: Uterus is mildly heterogeneous. Endometrium measures thickened at 21mm with a 32x31x20mm endometrial polyp. Left ovary could not be identified. No adnexal masses or collections were seen. Right ovary contains a well defined 4.0x3.9x3.6cm cyst that appears to be simple but could be minimally complex.
