Birth story confusion

I’ve been trying to understand what happened during my child’s birth 6 years ago. Her doctor tried explaining it but I didn’t understand what he was saying, there is a language barrier (auditory processing issues on my end) and it was over the phone. So I went in at 8am to be induced. I was a week overdue. She was an 8lb baby I am 5’2 was 180 at this time if that’s important context. A lot of water weight. No high blood pressure. I had her at 1:30am the next morning via C-section. She had been in distress losing oxygen and I believe her heart rate was dropping, I remember them having me in different positions and adjusting the monitors on my stomach as well as giving me an oxygen mask. Once a C-section was decided it was a “within the next 30 min”. When the doctor pulled her out she was butt first so, breech. I hadn’t dilated past a 1 or 2 the entire time. The doctor also noted that my placenta was dying? My water broke as I was walking over to the operating room and immediately I was having extreme contractions (not sure if that matters). My contractions were also piggy backing each other so my daughter didn’t have time to recover between them toward the end. My doctor told me I can never have a vaginal birth. My daughter has had no lasting effects from her birth. I’m planning to be pregnant again which sparked this desire to have a deeper understanding. submitted by /u/CuntyBundty [link] [comments]
