Was it a chemical pregnancy?

Hi! I’m a 27-year-old woman who has been taking the pill continuously since I was 19. For the past six months, my periods have become increasingly lighter. During my withdrawal bleed in June, it started early—on a Saturday (for years, it had always started on Mondays)—and the flow was very light, pinkish, and painless. The rest of the period remained very light and brown and ended sooner than usual. Having noticed the flow decreasing for months—and with June’s period being the lightest yet—I asked my gynecologist for blood work because I was worried about early menopause (I know I’m young, but I have PCOS, so who knows?). So we did a bloodwork. To my surprise, when I received the lab results on my phone five days later, my Beta-hCG level was 31.4 (indicating one week of gestation). Afterward, I took several urine tests in different mornings, all of which were negative; nearly two weeks later, the gynecologist performed an ultrasound, which showed everything was normal and there was no pregnancy. It was a scare, because the last thing I expected was a positive beta The doctor said it was most likely a false positive from the lab, though there was a remote possibility it could have been a chemical pregnancy. Now I’m left wondering: could that very light bleeding on the 13th have been a micro-miscarriage? What exactly was it? I’m constantly wondering what happened. I would appreciate it if anyone could tell me whether a chemical pregnancy—after eight years on the pill—is consistent with very light, pink, and painless bleeding. Even my gynecologist couldn't give me an answer. Last sexual intercourse: May 17-18th. Sudden, very light, pink and painless bleeding: June 13th (2 days earlier than my expected withdrawal bleeding). Blood test (Beta hCG): June 23rd (10 days after the bleeding started) resulted in 31.4 mUI/ml. Home urine tests turned completely negative from June 26th onwards. My question: Has anyone else experienced a chemical pregnancy while on the pill with ab
