Hi all. I had a 5.5 (or something around there) cyst removal surgery. I had been puking my brains out for over a week and having severe abdominal pain. I went to the ER on a Friday with these complaints and they found the cyst. All they did was tell me go to a gynecologist. I went to one that Tuesday and she was god awful and absolutely 0 help. Won’t be returning there. She sent me back to the ER bc of how bad the pain/sickness was. They did all the tests and cyst had grown from the first time I went. They admitted me in the hospital for pain management but did offer surgery for removal right there and then. I was scared to go through it but after suffering another night I decided I needed to go through with it bc of the pain and how sick it They also did multiple ultrasounds and were unable to completely rule out ovarian torsion which made me really freaking nervous. I was kept in the hospital for 3 days after because I have an auto immune disease. I heal slower and I am very high risk for infections and complications. A HUGE bruise developed on lower abdomen which I have attached pictures of. The DR even told me it was larger than normal. They did a CT scan and confirmed there was no internal bleeding. There was not. I’m 8 days post-op and the bruise and still extremely sore almost like a pulsing but it has go down a bit. I’m able to move around a lot more but things like stretching hard, putting my arms above my head, or walking super far distances does cause some discomfort. I was only written out of works for 6 days. I work in a warehouse with no a/c in South FL for 10.5 hours day lifting items 30-50+ pounds. I feel this time to be extremely unsafe due to the wounds and the way I definitely still am not feeling the best and the discomfort I’m still in. I briefly explained my type of work to my doc in the hospital and I don’t think he fully understood how harsh my work environment is. I am on leave until my doctors appointment which is still pending approval due
