NSFW My left breast has recently drastically started changing in shape. On the medial side towards the bottom, there is an area that obviously sticks out further than the rest, which can be easily seen from the lateral side. Underneath the area that is sticking out more, there is a hard lump, but I have dense lumpy breasts anyway. When I put my arms up or lift the breast by pulling the skin above, the area dimples & dents in. My right breast has started to have a “dimpled” appearance especially along the bottom and around the areola. My armpits have also become a bit swollen, they are usually very concave but that is changing as well. My left arm and hand have also had some edema that we’ve not been able to figure out the cause. It is not constant, but after I’ve been up doing things and first thing in the morning. I am not breastfeeding and my last pregnancy was 12 years ago. No recent weight loss to explain change in density to left breast, I actually recovered from protein malnutrition at 84lbs due to pancreatic disease and spent a long time in the hospital, but I had a GTube placed and have been stable at 120lbs for a bit now. These changes are after my weight stabilized, prior to the last week or so both were more full like the right side. My doctor is aware and has ordered imaging at the breast center and I am just awaiting scheduling. She said the most concerning thing to her is the “orange peel” dimpling, change in shape and pulling in.
