Vaginismus update

So i went to a gyno recently, and they diagnosed me with anxiety-induced vaginismus and prescribed me lexapro. Upon prescribing me lexapro i found out rather quickly i had bipolar disorder and had to get off of it. I was highly irritable, cussing people out ALOT, not sleeping, alot of energy, and acting like an insane person, at first i thought it was my adhd but they said it was an abnormal response to lexapro. I abruptly stopped taking it and my withdrawal was terrible. (Dont recommend). Anyways, I was kinda irritated because all i needed was a pelvic floor therapist, not medication. I will say oddly enough, while i was on the lexapro it loosened me up a bit down there though. I could insert my dilators alot easier, and through the past month. I also noticed that the anatomy of my vagina is quite hollow yet the opening is so tight (especially at the top). Immediately when i stick something in it the top is low and is making the muscles on the inside of it tight. Its kinda annoying but i did realizd its all a mindset thing. I found out i have never been truly relaxed in my LIFE, till now. Which is why my body is deciding to open up more. Im 20 mind you. I go back to my Gyno this thursday but yea here is some of my progress even though im just annoyed they didnt give me a pelvic floor therapist, and instead wanted to play with my mental health for a month. submitted by /u/Delicious_Age_3776 [link] [comments]
